C++ Engineer

£180,000 Plus Bonus

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a C++ Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well known global High Frequency Trading firm. They value technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).

This is a bleeding edge role as close as it gets to the market. You will participate in providing financial and operational support to the firm.

We are looking for detail-oriented individual with experience in diverse technology ecosystems using a mixture of off-the-shelf and proprietary systems. The C++ Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining a proprietary trading systems whilst ensuring high levels of uptime and stability. You will need outstanding communication skills and be able to present complex ideas clearly.

The role:

• Be hands-on in Design, Development, support and maintenance of our proprietary trading systems
• Collaborate with traders, quants and business staff to understand and anticipate technology needs
• Ensure compliance with (and contribute to) internal code, design and operational standards
• Collaborate with other senior technology and trading staff on vision and technical direction

C++ Engineers MUST have:

• Minimum 5 years experience in an algorithmic trading environment
• Proficiency in C++11/14/17
• Deep technical knowledge of trading systems, particularly in the D1 space
• Experience in distributed systems and related algorithm, data structures and messaging
• Familiarity with Linux systems and Networks as related to proprietary trading
