Graduate/Junior Quantitative Trader

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Graduate Quantitative Trader to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well-known global quantitative proprietary trading firm that leverages the latest technology, sophisticated algorithms and deep knowledge to trade in capital markets globally.

This is an environment of science and intellectuals. The firm is known globally for its attitudes and rigour. More importantly, you will be surrounded by smart entrepreneurial people deeply interested in the sector who are ready to teach what they know. The trading desk is central to the collaborative and cooperative office environment my client has cultivated.

I am looking for a top-tier junior or graduate with sub 2 years experience and the ability to work intuitively through complex maths/stats problems.

The role will involve helping to find and trade on price inefficiencies, develop models and push the business into new avenues by investigating new products and trade ideas.

Graduate Quantitative Traders MUST have:

• Minimum 2:1 in Maths, Statistics, Engineering from a top 5 European institution
• Clear critical and strategic thinker
• A demonstrable love for problem-solving but also a team player
• Able to make quick decisions under pressure
• An interest in technology and some coding ability (VBA, Python, Rust etc)
• An appetite for delivering solutions to complex problems

Were you always fascinated by puzzles and problem solving, do you have a Rubix cube at home or enjoy strategy games like Go or Chess, perhaps even Bridge if so then this role could be for you.
