Network Engineer

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Network Engineer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a well known global High Frequency Trading firm. They value technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).
This is a bleeding edge role as close as it gets to the market. You will be offered an almost unlimited budget and the ability to make the right decisions in a non-bureaucratic environment.
This position requires close collaboration with their software engineers in an effort to best align technical solutions with the schedules and analytic needs of various strategies.
The role:
• Maintenance of diverse networks across the world
• Take part in design of networks for new offices and data centres
• Find new low latency solutions for existing networks
• Provide support for network technologies
• Troubleshoot and analyse performance issues
• Work with traders to modify connectivity to exchanges.
Network Engineers MUST have:
 At least 4 years’ commercial experience in a trade environment
 Significant knowledge of client-server architectures and network design
 Expert knowledge of Cisco NX-OS/IOS
 Multicast Networking
 Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MSDP, and PIM
 CCNP certified
 Unix and Linux
 Python or other scripting skills
 Experience with VPNs including IPSEC, GRE
 An appetite for delivering solutions to complex problem
This role could suite someone from outside the trading market but is ideally suited to someone who wants to take on firm wide responsibility and grow a business. This is an opportunity to grow and make a name in the market.
