Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Pre Sales Consultant to join our high profile client.

Our client is the world’s leading treasury and risk providers to the investment banking and buy side markets. They are a global business with offices in over 8 countries but still have a small business entrepreneurial feel to them.

The primary purpose of the Pre Sales Consultant is will work closely with sales to target predominantly the European market for corporate treasury product lines, targeting up to 20,000 small and mid-size Corporations. The Presales Consultant should be able to manage relationships on a senior level within the target groups. The job requires and extensive knowledge of the treasury industry as well as proven treasury management systems knowledge. We will consider those who have a presales background and want to learn the treasury side.

The Pre Sales Consultant will be responsible for running your own projects as well as working closely with sales.

  • Educate clients on best practice treasury management, such as cash management and risk concepts (portfolio duration, cost at risk or various benchmarking methodologies).
  • Demos
  • Engage in post-demo/workshop follow up such as outstanding issues, documentation etc.
  • Requirement specifications and gap specifications resulting from the sales process.
  • Work with Product Management, R&D, etc. to give input on further development of the product to meet market demands.

The role requires the Pre Sales Consultant to work independently, and is collaborative in nature. The candidate should be adept at problem solving through innovation, making confident decisions under pressure with aggressive timeframes and have a proven track record on successfully overseeing a number of projects of differing scales.

Candidates must have:

  • Ideally Experience of Corporate Treasury Systems or advanced presales
  • Ideally Hedge accounting or exposure to risk management
  • Experience Client facing
  • Degree in Computer Science, Finance or similar
  • Experience in business analysis
  • An understanding of cash management, accounting, payments, settlements, integration/interfaces.
  • Ability to travel (less than 20%)

This role suits someone from a software consulting or implementation background that is looking to take on serious responsibility. You will also have to sign an NDA due to the close proximity you have to funds very important IP. We are looking for consultants who want to take ownership of products and take considerable responsibility and the bonus that goes with that.

The role progresses to a lead consultant after a year and candidates can expect to run clients as a whole or move on to managing areas of the vendor.

My client is based in Central London but we would expect candidates to be able to travel within the city regularly.
