Senior Software Engineer/Architect – Fintech
Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Architect to join our high-profile client.
Our client is a pioneering analytical brokerage based in London. They use deep practitioner knowledge in financial markets and utilise quantitative techniques and the latest data and cloud technologies to build products that disrupt some of the biggest firms in the industry.

We are looking for a team focused leader to join the team as a senior software engineer. The successful engineer will take ownership of designing, developing and maintaining solutions at an early stage and influence the trajectory of the platform.
Development is agile and fast paced. As requirements evolve you will leverage the best of the open-source community, sometimes substituting your own solutions where greater performance is needed. You will be encouraged to evangelise and prototype new technologies and through doing so you will help shape the architecture.
As a Software Engineer:
• You can demonstrate a track record of developing quality software
• You contribute to open-source communities
• Have a strong education is a STEM field ideally Comp Sci
• A team player with the ability to lead
• Experience managing the direction and design of a large codebase, such as evolution of architecture, interface design and refactoring
• Strong Python skills
• You have some experience working within Linux environments.
• You have a keen interest in Kubernetes and cloud-native technology.
• You have experience building, testing, and operating distributed systems.
• You have experience building pipelines, leveraging continuous delivery and automated testing to deliver robust software at velocity.

How you will work:
• Assemble expert market practitioners, quantitative analysts, and software engineers to build disruptive products in financial markets.
• Leverage open source and cloud-native technology to build scalable SaaS with a microservices architecture.
• Build, manage, scale, and evolve our architectural and operational practices.
